The Evolution of Maestro
Our journey began with a clear mission: to address the challenges faced by home cooks in urban environments, where kitchen space is often limited. We identified a pressing need for appliances that are cost-effective, space-efficient, and capable of delivering professional-grade performance.
In early 2024, we embarked on the development of Maestro, focusing on creating a versatile appliance that could handle a wide range of kitchen tasks. By mid-year, we had successfully integrated blender and food processor functions and developed a novel three-speed planetary gearbox design. This innovation enabled super-slow mixing at 5 RPM, food processing at 1-2,000 RPM, and high-speed blending exceeding 15,000 RPM.
Throughout the year, we overcame technical challenges, such as achieving precise motor speed control and integrating digital speed controllers with custom modes. We also added weight measurement functionality through load cell integration, enhancing the precision of our appliance.
Our efforts culminated in the creation of six functional prototypes, each incorporating lessons learned from previous iterations. By the end of 2024, we had a fully redesigned product that not only met our functional requirements but also featured an improved aesthetic design.
